Membership is open to anyone with an interest in advancing parks, recreation and conservation for an enhanced quality of life in North Dakota. Membership applies to a calendar year, and membership types and benefits are summarized below.

2025 Membership Levels & Benefits

Agency

An independent park or recreation board.

Full-Time Employees (year-round, fully benefited)

  • No FTEs = $100
  • 1-4 = $200
  • 5-9 = $500
  • 10-29 = $1,000
  • 30-49 = $2,000
  • 50-69 = $3,500
  • 70-89 = $5,000
  • 90+ = $6,500

All benefits of Professional membership for board members and full-time employees, plus:

Professional

An individual who is employed and responsible for planning, organizing and supervising or operating parks, recreational programs, leisure services, recreation areas or facilities, conservation and recreational use of natural resources, therapeutic recreation or educating students.

Higher Education

A North Dakota higher education institute.

Student

An undergraduate or graduate student at any university, college or vocational school.

  • Free

Allied: Organization

A state agency, public entity, nonprofit or other non-commercial organization interested in the fields of recreation, leisure services, parks, conservation, tourism, fitness, therapeutic recreation, health and wellness and recreational use of natural resources.

  • $200/year
  • $55/year for each additional member above the four included members

Professional benefits for four staff or board members, plus:

Allied: Individual

An individual who is not eligible to be a professional member but supports the NDRPA mission.

  • $100/year
