Park Board Manual

Available now for pre-order is the updated 2018 North Dakota Park Board Manual. The manual equips both new and experienced park board commissioners and staff with the information necessary to effectively carry out their authorities, roles and responsibilities.  The manual also includes sample documents such as a joint use agreement and board member job description. Complete the order form and email to NDRPA or mail to PO Box 1091, Bismarck, ND 58502.


FOCUS is the official magazine of NDRPA. It is distributed quarterly via mail to more than 600 park and recreation professionals and posted on the NDRPA website. FOCUS is dedicated to informing NDRPA members about trends in the park and recreation industry, training opportunities, association news and updates on people and projects around the state.

NDRPA members are encouraged to submit articles and photographs that showcase parks and recreation facilities, programs, projects and staff as well as story ideas and other relevant materials for park and recreation professionals. Email articles for potential publication to Shannon. The 2018 deadlines for submitting articles for FOCUS are as follows:

Professional Directory

NDRPA publishes a professional directory every two years. It is a helpful desk reference that includes contact information for agencies and organizations involved in parks and recreation in North Dakota. It is distributed exclusively to NDRPA members. The next edition will be published in 2018.

If your organization is interested in advertising in our 2018-2019 Professional Directory, please submit your advertising form by March 1, 2018.


NDRPA eUpdate is distributed the 15th of each month – the deadline for submissions is the 10th. Submissions will be accepted via email from NDRPA agency, professional, allied and education members. NDRPA eUpdate will include short blurbs on timely events and news that would be of interest to a majority of NDRPA members.
